GMC B’la to launch ABDM ‘Scan and Share’ Patient Registration Method on Monday
Initiative will upgrade seamless & secure digital Registration of patients/ Medical Records
BARAMULLA : In order to ensure the digitization of medical records and patient registration in Health Institutions, Government Medical College Baramulla is all set launch Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) on Monday, 1st May 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
According to the notification issued, GMC Baramulla has taken the lead in the digitizing patient registration and medical record under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) with the launch of the “Scan and Share” patient registration method.
This unique and innovative approach allows seamless and secure digital registration of patients.
The benefits of this technology in healthcare would enhance the patients’ experience by reducing unnecessary waiting times and making access to medical records quick and easy.
Pertinently, this launch marks an important milestone for GMC Baramulla and the ABDM, and is expected that the initiative will have a positive impact on the healthcare sector in the region.
The “Scan and Share” method involves using a QR code provided by the hospital which is scanned using ABDM enabled apps like Aarogya Setu, ABDM app and PayTM from the patients’ mobile phone that automatically generated a token at the registration counter against the patients name besides uploading their medical records onto a centralized server. The patient receives an OPD ticket against the token number while its displayed over a screen in the waiting area.
The concerned functionaries of GMC Baramulla have asserted that the launch of this new method is a significant step towards strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in GMC Baramulla and supports the administration’s vision of making healthcare more affordable and accessible to all.
