GMR Varalakshmi Foundation offers Free Course for Underprivileged in ‘Cloud Computing’

Hyderabad : GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) – the CSR arm of the GMR Group, in collaboration with Tech Mahindra Foundation, will be offering a free course for the underprivileged in ‘Cloud Computing’.  All B.Tech. (CSC, IT, ECE), B.Sc. (Computer Science) and BCA students who are residents of Ranga Reddy district and passed out between 2019 – 2022 can apply for this course.

The duration of this course is three months. The training will be conducted four days a week at the GMR Varalakshmi Centre for Empowerment and Livelihoods, Airport campus, Shamshabad, Rangareddy District and two days at the Tech Mahindra Academy.

In order to cater to the present demand and bridge the gap of cloud computing professionals GMRVF and Tech Mahindra Foundation have teamed up to help the underprivileged with training and placements. This training will help the candidates learn the fundamentals and prep them for a niche skill area in the field of Information Technology.  As part of its objectives to reach out to the local communities, GMRVF is always trying to identify the skills needed in the job market and provide the necessary educational aid to the needy.”

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) without direct active management by the user. Cloud computing is a popular option for people and businesses for cost savings, increased productivity, speed and efficiency, performance, and security. According to International Data Corporation (IDC), the global spending on cloud computing services has reached ~ Rs. 5500 Crores and expected to reach ~ Rs. 1 lakh crores by 2025.

Trainees enrolled for this course can pursue the AWS (Amazon Web Service) Certified Cloud Practitioner Course. GMRVF and Tech Mahindra Foundation will facilitate the selected candidates to take this exam. Placement support will also be provided for all the successful candidates.

This course is open to both male and female candidates. GMRVF will provide free boarding and lodging to all selected male candidates during the training period.
