GMRIT Student gets Placement in Amazon with 34.30 lacs Package

 Vishakhapatnam : GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT), established under GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of GMR Group, has done it yet again in the recently concluded campus placements. Mr. B. Adarsh from GMRIT has bagged a whopping 34.30 lacs package from Amazon.

A final year Computer Science Engineering (CSE) student, Adarsh comes from a humble background. Adarsh hails from B. Gonapaputtuga village of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. His father is currently working as an ASI in CRPF, and his mother is a housewife.

Speaking on his achievement, Adarsh said, “I started practicing coding initially in our college digital library. As I did not have a laptop, my Head of the Department Dr. A. V. Ramana permitted me to use the departmental lab after college hours. I had consistently worked on my coding skills on the online platforms like CodeChef, Codeforces, HackerRank. In third year, I focused on building projects and gaining knowledge in data science part using Python along with my coding practice. I am happy that I got selected by Amazon as a System Development Engineer (SDE) thanks to the support I got from my parents and my college staff who believed in me.”

In the recently concluded campus placements, GMRIT students bagged high-paid jobs in reputed Multi-National Companies (MNC) with 180% offers of varying salary packages. GMRIT has recorded 1100+ placement offers this year, with a 60% increase in offers compared with the preceding years. It has been in the forefront with 95% remarkable placements. Infosys, Cognizant, ValueLabs, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Paytm and L&T were top recruiters.

With its curriculum in line with Industry requirements, GMRIT brings world-class technical education to the doorsteps of the rural youth. Under the aegis of experienced and committed faculty, GMRIT provides various technical and non-technical training to its students from their third semester.
