Good governance is top priority in the road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government has given top priority to good governance in the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Many special goals have been set. These goals include creation of a single citizen database and single service delivery portal, provision of digital verification of documents for service delivery, simplification of laws, rules and procedures, digitization of all records, greater public participation in policies and decisions of the government, maximum utilization of modern techniques like drone-artificial intelligence, machine learning, block chain technology, cloud computing, etc. in government work, training and capacity building of human resources, expansion of scope of citizen care and development of chat bots to promote M governance.
The state government has done important work to establish good governance. CM Helpline 181 resolved problems and complaints of 1 crore 25 lakh citizens of the state. In the last nine months, more than 100 new services have been brought under the purview of Public Service Guarantee Act. Various help lines were operated for 24 hours at the district and state level for migrant labourers during lockdown in the state. Good governance has been included among the four most significant pillars in the roadmap for the creation of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh.
A new Public Asset Management Department has been formed for the conservation and promotion of valuable assets spread across the country and abroad. The Public Service Guarantee Act was amended to provide “deemed approval”. Important services like “Aadhaar Registration and Amendment” and “Ayushman Bharat Beneficiary Card Service” were started. As many as 14 new services have been added on the “Citizen Interface” under the online application system. Work is being done on whatsApp chat-bot facility for CM Helpline and Public Service for the facility of citizens. Dashboard portal was developed with the objective of establishing a transparent monitoring system. Suggestions were received from people by developing an M.P. Innovation Portal. Programmes organized for public welfare schemes were promoted among crores of citizens through social media MyGovMP and SMS. Decision has been taken to create a single citizen database of citizens and create a single portal of service delivery in the state. In the last 9 months, techniques like video conferencing have been used extensively for prevention of Corona and effective communication at all levels.
With direct benefit transfer to the accounts of the beneficiaries during Corona period has resulted in providing benefits of government schemes to eligible persons on the one hand, on the other hand it has helped to eliminate corruption and middlemen. The e-office system was implemented in state government offices, departments and various undertakings. A state-wide campaign has been launched in Madhya Pradesh to attack various types of mafia and anti social elements.
