Government health institutions to be first priority of the people of the state – CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that we have to constantly improve the services and cleanliness of government hospitals. People of the state should prefer government hospitals first, only if they do not find any place in the government hospital, should they opt for private hospitals.. Government health institutions will be the first priority of the people of the state. If a person gets better treatment, hygiene and right treatment, then he naturally says that the doctor is the form of God. We strive to provide quality health services to people in the rural areas of the entire state by using technology. State-level integrated command center ‘Suman’ was launched today to ensure expert tele-medicine services and safe motherhood at 550 primary health centers of the state.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a programme organized by National Health Mission at Minto Hall. The programme which started with kanya poojan, was followed by ‘Madhya Pradesh anthem’ and a video presentation on ‘Suman’, a telemedicine facility based on Hub and Spoke Model for safe motherhood. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed the awards to the best district hospitals and community health centers under Kayakalp campaign. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman, Secretary and Commissioner Health Shri Sanjay Goyal and Director of National Health Mission Sushri Chhavi Bhardwaj were present in the programme.

Hamidia Hospital doctors lauded for successful surgery of severed hands

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that doctors and paramedical staff have presented examples similar to Maharishi Dadhichi against Corona infection. I offer my tributes to all Corona warriors. Recently, in cases of domestic violence, hands of three women were severed. Their surgery took place in government hospital and their hands were successfully operated. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan congratulated the doctors of Hamidia Hospital for this achievement.

The havoc of Corona has not yet reduced

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the havoc of Corona has not reduced. Use of masks and social distancing to avoid unnecessary crowd is must. All necessary arrangements against Corona are in place in the state. Free treatment of the poor is our commitment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed to the people of the state to cooperate and follow all precautions in preventing the spread of Corona infection in the state.

‘Meri Holi-Mere Ghar’

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has appealed to celebrate the festivals with simplicity and caution. He said that observance of ‘Meri Holi-Mere Ghar’ is must this time. We may fulfill traditions, perform rituals, but we must bear in mind that this is a conduct permitted during calamities. In times of crisis on humanity, then we also have to find a solution.

7.5 percent of the state’s total budget will be spent on health facilities

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh has been made to give shape to the mantra of Atmanirbhar Bharat by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. Health is the major component in this. 7.5 percent of the state’s total budget will be spent on health facilities. New medical colleges are being opened in the state so that there is no shortage of doctors. Best use of technology is being made to provide benefits of specialist facilities including super specialty hospital to the people. Suman will prove to be a boon for telemedicine facility and integrated command control center for maternity and child health.

Seth Govind Das Victoria Hospital renamed without Victoria

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced the name of Seth Govind Das Victoria Hospital in Jabalpur as Seth Govind Das District Hospital. He said that we must do away with anything that symbolizes slavery.

Now there is no need to go from Katangi to Jabalpur

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted with Shri Anupam Jain, who is being treated with tele-medicine facility introduced at Primary Health Center, Katangi in Jabalpur district. Shri Jain said that with this facility, there will be no need to visit Jabalpur frequently.

Health facilities are constantly expanding – Health Minister Dr. Chaudhary

Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, health facilities are constantly expanding in the state. There is a steady increase in the number of free medicines and medical check ups in primary health centres to sub health center level. Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said that ensuring availability of doctors in remote areas of the state is a challenging task. With the help of a technology like tele-medicine, the rural people will also be provided specialist services at the local level.

Kayakalp Award

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan presented the Kayakalp awards for the year 2020-21 at a state level programme. The Kayakalp Abhiyan has been started since the year 2015 to develop a clean environment in health institutions. The first prize of Rs 50 lakhs was bagged by Seth Govind Das District Hospital, Jabalpur, second prize of Rs 20 lakhs to JP Hospital Bhopal, third prize of Rs 10 lakhs to District Hospital Vidisha, Continuous Excellence Award to District Hospital Seoni and Fastest Improving Award to District Hospital Neemuch. At the Community Health Center level, first prize was given to Ichhawar Sehore district, second prize jointly to Ramnagar Satna district and Patan of Jabalpur district and Continuous Excellence Award to Rani Durgavati Civil Hospital Jabalpur. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appreciated the improved services and cleanliness in district hospitals due to competitive spirit.

Telemedicine facility

Under Tele Medicine facility, the hub has specialists, who provide medical counselling through tele-consultation at the spoke level. At present, hubs have been set up in 51 district hospitals of the state, which are providing tele-consultations to 4200 sub-health centers. The facility was introduced at 550 primary health centers in the programme. Pediatrician, gynecology and medical specialists will provide medical advice from hub centers. Facility of Pathology and other tests will also be available at Primary Health Centers. The state government will bear a burden of Rs 215 per consultation.

Suman

Integrated Command Control Center has been set up at the state level to monitor high-risk pregnant women and infants to provide quality prenatal screening and management. At the state level, the 15 seater call center will be functioning 24×7. Suman Health Desk will be available in all 51 District Hospitals and 13 Medical Colleges.
