Government of Punjab launches ‘Leadership & Motivation for Effective School Management’, an e-learning course by Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB

Mohali: Indian School of Business (ISB), Bharti Institute of Public Policy has developed an e-learning course – ‘Leadership & Motivation for Effective School Management’. The course was launched today by the Hon’ble Education Minister of Punjab, Shri Vijay Inder Singla.

 

Launching the course Shri Singla said: “The Government of Punjab is proud to be partnering with the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business. This course will help to train our principals and staff in government schools and we hope that this will strengthen the state’s school education system.”

 

Speaking at the launch event, Dr Aarushi Jain, Associate Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy thanked the Department of School Education for their vision and support. Speaking about some of the past initiatives, she said: “Bharti Institute of Public Policy has been working very closely with the Department of School Education for research and human resource development initiatives to achieve the goal of quality education in the state of Punjab.”

 

In a first of its kind initiative, the Department of School Education, Government of Punjab has tied up with the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, to develop this asynchronous e-learning course to train as many as 10,000 + principals, heads, and teachers in government schools. This course follows from Bharti Institute’s prior engagement of in-person and virtual training programmes hosted in 2019-2020 for over 1,000 principals and school heads in the state.

 

The virtual launch event was attended by Smt Vini Mahajan, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab; Sh Krishan Kumar, IAS, Secretary, School Education, Government of Punjab; Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice-Chairman, Bharti Enterprises; Prof Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB; Prof Ashwini Chhatre, Executive Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB; Kumara Guru, Director, External Relations, ISB and Dr Aarushi Jain, Associate Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB.
