Government Polytechnic Kathua organises webinar on soft skills

Kathua: Government Polytechnic College Kathua today organized Webinar on Aptitude and Soft Skills for Polytechnic students in collaboration with Indian Institute of Management Indore.

The webinar was attended by the faculty and students of various Polytechnic Colleges of Jammu division.

The resource person for webinar was Anand Kulkarni, an IIT-K, IIM-I and university of Pittsburgh USA alumnus, having 15 years of enormous teaching experience in the area of Aptitude and Soft skill training. He has been associated with ITC, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI and IMS in various capacities (Regional head, Investment banker, General Manager – HR etc).

In his presentation, he focused on increasing the numerical ability, problem solving and mathematical skills of students. He explained that Soft skills are important because they enable students to adjust to the frustrations and challenges they will encounter in their adult life, as well as the demands of work. In his one-hour interactive session students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Kathua, who said that mastering soft skills help students learn, live and work better. Er Rishabh Gupta and Er. Vishal Sharma, Faculty members, conducted the proceeding of the session.
