Govt. of Maharashtra Invites IIM Nagpur to Collaborate for Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA)  

 

Mumbai: Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, was invited to sign an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra for Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA) by the Hon’ble Shri Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, GoM, Hon’ble Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, GoM, in the presence of Shri Rajesh Vinayakrao Kshirsagar, Vice Chairman, MITRA and the Shri Parveen Pardeshi, CEO MITRA, today at the Varsha, CM residence, Mumbai.

This MoU will start a new journey of growth and smoothen the way for the commitment of the Government of Maharashtra, which is working on several important initiatives to help the state to achieve $1 Trillion economy by 2027 and a staggering $3.5 Trillion by 2047.

Since its inception in 2015, IIM Nagpur has been on a remarkable journey of one decade with several accolades. Today, IIM Nagpur is one of the Institutes of Eminence in the country and is widely known worldwide for imparting high-quality education.

Dr. Metri said that this MoU is a new milestone for IIM Nagpur to fulfil many more achievements before entering its second decade. The Institute imparts and undertakes cutting-edge research and imparts Management education at par with international standards.

Under the auspices of the Government of Maharashtra, this collaboration between IIM Nagpur and MITRA will set new standards. It heralds a new era of progress in vital sectors such as Education, Skill Development, Innovation, etc., thus promising a significant boost.

IIM Nagpur will be vital in policy advocacy, research, and innovation. The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between MITRA and IIM Nagpur to collaborate for several initiatives of the State Government to ascertain overall development.

This MoU aims to enrich efforts that catalyse the development process, enhance institutional capacity development, and enable a field-level interface for mutual enrichment. With the broader scope of exchanging knowledge, capacity building, identifying sectoral growth potential, and supporting the various stakeholders.

On this occasion, Dr. Metri said that IIM Nagpur partnership with Government of Maharashtra in MITRA will set a newer benchmark for growth and development of the state for achieving $1 Trillion economy and Maharashtra will become a role model for other states in the country.
