Grand Maratha Foundation brightens this Diwali for farmer widows and their families in Maharashtra
Mumbai : Grand Maratha Foundation, a non-governmental organization, catering to the needs of farmers and their families in Maharashtra organized a donation drive by distributing clothes, stationary, blankets, bedsheets, toys, bags and snacks to more than 3000 people across various locations in Maharashtra. The week-long drive was conducted in Mumbai, Thane, Karjat, Panvel and Pandharkarwada in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. Farmer widows and their families, tribal community and the underprivileged children were among the beneficiaries from this drive.
The donation drive was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Rohit Shelatkar, Founder of Grand Maratha Foundation and Mrs. Madhavi Shelatkar, Trustee of Grand Maratha Foundation.
Expressing his views Mr. Rohit Shelatkar, Founder of Grand Maratha Foundation, said, “Grand Maratha Foundation has always been committed to target and uplift the less privileged through better amenities and education, to ensure their all-round development. We are glad that we can support as many families as possible to make their Diwali bright, bring happiness and joyous smiles. The organization aims at elevating the lives of farmers, who are under the vicious circle of debt and poverty. This Diwali, the organization aimed at helping the underprivileged children, farmer widows and the tribal community who can use these resources and enjoyed this festive season.
