Grand Maratha Foundation distributes School bags and Stationery kits to 500 underprivileged students in Ghatkopar in association with Sai Shraddha Trust Mumbai

 The Grand Maratha Foundation (GMF), an NGO in Maharashtra, distributed school bags and stationery kits to underprivileged students in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. 500 underprivileged students benefited from the donation drive. This initiative provided stationery material sufficient for one academic year to children from poor economic backgrounds that don’t have access to material required for basic education. This drive was conducted in association with Sai Shraddha Trust, Mumbai.

The drive was held at Sethiya Nagar, Sakinaka and dignitaries such as Mr. Ashish Shelar (Member of Legislative Assembly) and officials of Shree Sai Shraddha Trust Mumbai graced the event with their presence. Grand Maratha Foundation over the last three months has conducted similar drives in Yavatmal, Thane and now Ghatkopar taking the count of benefitted students to 2000.

The initiative was planned under the guidance of Ms. Madhavi Shelatkar (Trustee GMF) and Mr. Rohit Shelatkar (Founder GMF), and the distribution was supported by volunteers of the Grand Maratha Foundation.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr Rohit Shelatkar, Film Producer & Founder, and Grand Maratha Foundation said, “Over the last three months, we have successfully reached out to 2000 underprivileged students in the state of Maharashtra. This is a big achievement for us. GMF’s priority will always be to help and empower students from disadvantaged communities so that they can have a better education and build a better life for themselves and their families.”
