Great Lakes, Gurgaon Welcomes Its Largest Ever PGPM Batch

  • The PGPM Class of 2024-25 and PGDM Class of 2024-26 were welcomed with inaugural ceremonies that included talks by industry veterans.
 Gurgaon  – Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, a distinguished name in management education, proudly commenced its largest-ever Post-Graduate Program in Management(PGPM) batch, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) batch with grand inauguration ceremonies at its Gurgaon campus welcoming 167 and 284 students respectively. The PGPM is Great Lakes, Gurgaon’s 1 year MBA program for working professionals while the PGDM is their 2 year MBA program for fresh graduates and entry-level professionals.
The PGPM class of 2025 has an average work experience of 3.2 years per student across more than 100 companies and 40+ different industries. The gender mix is 43% female, with students hailing from various regions across India, including cities like Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.
The PGDM Class of 2026 comprises 78% fresh graduates from diverse backgrounds including Commerce, Engineering, Arts, Law, Pharma, and Management. The gender mix is 47% female, and students come from regions across India, such as Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Jones Mathew and Dr. Poornima Gupta, Program Directors of PGPM and PGDM respectively, warmly welcomed the students, faculty, and esteemed industry guests, extending congratulations to the incoming class on joining the Great Lakes community. Dr. Debasish Sanyal, Director Emeritus, also congratulated the students and expressed immense pride in the recent AIU and AMBA accreditations received by the institute.
The keynote speakers for the inaugural ceremonies were Mr. Sandeep Sethi, Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting India, and Mr. Amit Tiwari, Global Head of Marketing Demand Centre at Tata Consulting Services. They inspired the students in their keynote addresses, highlighting the abundance of growth opportunities in today’s dynamic business environment. Mr. Gautam Lakhamraju, COO at Great Lakes of Management, emphasized the strategic importance of management education, while Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Chairman at Great Lakes Institute of Management, shared invaluable insights on navigating the complexities of a VUCA world, urging students to embrace continuous learning and innovation.
The inaugural ceremonies also featured enriching masterclasses and workshops on topics such as goal setting and personal branding, emphasising Great Lakes’ dedication to nurturing business-ready leaders. The key highlight of the student induction program was the “Biz Venture: Market Explorer Challenge.” In this activity, students traveled across different markets of Delhi NCR, wherein they identified a business, studied its operations, and prepared a report on how it could do better business.
