Group of 50 Kishtwar Farmers flagged off for Krishak Mela-2022 at SKUAST Jammu
KISHTWAR : A group of 50 local farmers of district Kishtwar were today flagged off for two day long exposure tour under Krishak Mela-2022 being held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) to learn about the latest agricultural techniques.
Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, Amjad Hussain Malik flagged off the farmers here from DC office Kishtwar in presence of Chief Horticulture Officer Sajid Mustafa, besides other officers of Agriculture and Horticulture department .
The group of farmers, hailing from different parts of district Kishtwar, was accompanied by District Level SMS, Jamsheed Hussain Dev.
The two day exposure visit under Krishak Mela is aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills about soil health management for sustainable hill agriculture, besides to learn about various beneficiary oriented schemes.
During exposure tour, the farmers will get an opportunity to interact with the agriculture Scientists and the technical experts from different parts of the country to learn about latest agriculture techniques and Value Addition of Agri products to double their income.
