New Delhi: Grundfos India, a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology, is the Gold sponsor of the 15th Sustainability Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). This three-day virtual conference scheduled from September 8th- 10th will bring together industrial leaders and policy makers from India as well as other parts of the world to deliberate on how to adopt and promote sustainability in the country.
Air pollution, poor management of waste, growing water scarcity, falling groundwater tables, water pollution, preservation and quality of forests, land and soil degradation, and biodiversity loss are some of the major sustainability issues India faces today. Keeping in mind the recent pandemic, the summit aims to focus on productive and effective discussions around critical aspects and learnings linked to sustainability like business and nature, climate change, renewable energy, circular economy, amongst others.
Grundfos recognises the business potential in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs) and the need to identify and develop solutions to scale, that are inclusive and environmentally sustainable. Commenting on Grundfos India’s support of this Summit, Saravanan Panneer Selvam, General Manager, INDO Region, Grundfos said, “At Grundfos, sustainability is the core of our business, it is a mind-set, a way to do business. We push the boundaries of possibility in energy efficiency and water conservation. We believe that the private sector, with its power of innovation, has the ability to find many of the solutions to meet the SDG challenge. Through our association with this summit, we hope to bring various Government and private stakeholders together and enable them to become catalysts to further promote the need for sustainable solutions in India.”
