Guj CM Shri Vijaybhai Rupani honours ninety-plus senior citizens at Ahmedabad
Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today termed the elderly people as the “Light House” for the young generations. He categorically further stated that the elderly people are possessing treasures of wisdom and experience. They instill virtues, sensitivity and sentiments in the society.
He was speaking at a ‘Vayvandna’ function organized in Ahmedabad city.
The Chief Minister further stated that the elders are supreme in the family system. We naturally have respect for the elders.
The Chief Minister termed the old-age as an era of journey from activities to retirement, along with re-directing mind from other activities to enjoy and cherish joy of retirement.
The state government is sensitive towards taking care of the elderly people. The state government is always ready to meet the demands raised by the various institutions.
On the occasion, Mr. Rupani also honoured the senior citizens with citations and also awarded them privilege cards offered by the Vayvandna Samiti.
The event was also graced by Ahmedabad City Mayor Mrs. Bijalben Patel, Vayvandna Samiti’s General Secretary Mr. K. B. Barot, City Laughter Club’s Chairman Mr. Mukund Mehta and large number of senior citizens
