Gujarat Chief Minister appeals to private doctors affiliated to IMA to take more proactive role in treatment and control of COVID-19 cases

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today appealed to the private doctors, affiliated to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), practicing in municipal corporations, district headquarters and towns of the state, to take a more proactive role in the treatment and control of the global pandemic novel coronavirus COVID-19.

In a video-conference with the IMA doctors at difference district towns from his residence here, he discussed how to involve private doctors’ greater participation in the multi-pronged action against the virus.

Dr Ketan Desai of the IMA also promptly responded to the Chief Minister’s appeal in discussion with members of the IMA at various district headquarters.

Those present during the disucussion were Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary and State-level Special Officer for Coordination of COVID-19 Pankaj Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary M. K. Das and Principal Secretary for Health Jayanti Ravi.
