Gujarat Chief Minister inaugurate 25 th Vasantotsav at Sanskriti Kunj in Gandhinagar

The Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated the 25 th Vasantotsav, organised by Youth Service and Cultural Activities, at Sanskriti Kunj here today. Artists presented folk dances of Chhattisgarh and Odisha on the first day. Speaking on the occasion, he said that arts and culture are not dependent on the State, but the government promotes arts, culture and music as part of its call to sponsor arts and culture.

Mr. Rupani described Vasantotsav as a holistic festival to showcase the cultural activities, handicraft, artefacts, craft bazaar, foods, drinks and cuisines of different states of the country at one venue – reflecting ‘Ek Bharat; Shrestha Bharat’.

He said that festivals like Kala Mahakumbh, Modhera Utsav, Tana Riri Mahotsav provide platform to talented artistes display their accomplishments. Those present on the occasion included Minister of State Ishwarsinh Patel, Gandhinagar Mayor Ritaben Patel, noted ghazal singer Manhar Udhas, Principal Secretary C.V. Som, Commissioner Kapadia, invitees and connoisseurs of arts.
