Gurushala guides 600+ Teachers of Nagaland on Concept of Self Awareness

 

New Delhi: Gurushala, a teacher capacity building website, is an initiative of Indus Towers Ltd. and Vodafone Idea Foundation and is implemented by Pratham Education Foundation. Gurushala for the teachers of Department of Education, Nagaland concluded its one-day extensive workshop session on Building Self Awareness Attitude in Students which was attended by more than 600 teachers from Nagaland. The earliest years of a child’s life are key to predicting ultimate success in school and life. These early learning experiences are crucial determining factors for emotional and intellectual development and will ultimately affect how well a child will perform in school. Keeping this in mind, Gurushala conducted the session with an aim to cater and engage with teachers of Nagaland to assist teachers and their own awareness about aiding behaviour in classroom

 

Gurushala invited Mr. Pranay Kumar, State Lead, Uttrakhand, Labhya Foundation to share his valuable insights and experiences with teachers while working on his journey around the implementation from mindfulness approach with teachers on field especially the strategies that teacher can adopt in their classroom especially now that schools are resumed.

 

The session was designed to engage with teachers in Nagaland more specifically to deal with their self-awareness and learning environment for the students and teaching strategies that can assist them. Also curated in the context to also give an understanding of socio-emotional learning approach in light of the changes being brought by National Education Policy 2020. The session focused on providing teachers with the strategies to develop student enhancement plans, various online teaching strategies where they can guide students despite challenges they face in the classroom and help them to improve their understanding of self!
