HCL Foundation conducted online Yoga Session for students and their families on International Yoga Day

 

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, HCL Foundation, the CSR arm of HCL Technologies, conducted online Yoga session for students and their families supported under its flagship urban development programme, HCL Uday.

 

The session was conducted virtually by Ms. Amitha Sudarshan, Certified Yoga Instructor from Yoga Alliance International, Vivekananda School of Yoga, Bengaluru on Monday, 21st June, 7:00AM onwards.

 

Young children and youth who are part of the Sports for Change initiative of HCL Foundation will join the session virtually along with their family members. As this is a live virtual session, it will be attended by more than 300 students with their families who will be attending from different corners of the country, including Noida, Lucknow, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad & Madurai.

 

Currently, HCL Foundation is engaging virtually with the students for Yoga and Well-Being Sessions at least once a week in order to reduce the anxiety and mental stress caused due the indefinite closure of schools, isolation and gloomy situation around.

 

Yoga has become an integral component of the regular virtual training sessions being conducted by HCL Foundation’s partner NGOs under ‘Sports for Change’ initiative which benefits more than 5,000 students across locations.
