Health Camp of Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib

 

Aligarh : A team of doctors from the Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (AKTC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) provided medical advice, distributed free Unani medicine to the unfortunate people and referred them for specialized treatments in the Medical Health Camp at Madarsa Chacha Nehru, Bangali Kothi.

The Health Camp of Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib in collaboration with the Dawakhana Tibbiya College was a part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ observations in line with the ‘Hamara AYUSH Hamara Swasthya’ initiative of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of AYUSH.

Prof Salma Ahmad (Member-in-Charge, Dawakhana Tibbiya College) said these camps make sure people are getting healthcare at the right time and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious.

Prof Salma also spoke on the importance of Unani medicine.

“The Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib adopted the Madarsa Chacha Nehru School with a moral responsibility to treat each patient regardless of their income and social status”, said Prof Rubi Anjum (Chairperson, Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib).

She added: “In camps like these, we provide the best health care to people suffering various conditions”.

Prof Rubi also presented a report on departmental activities including details of various health camps held for people of lower income groups in urban and rural areas.

Prof Rubi with faculty members, Prof S M Safdar Ashraf, Dr Abdul Aziz Khan, interns and postgraduate students consulted over 100 students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school.
