Health care workers imparted Training on BLS at Block Headquarter Ghat

 

DODA : One day training cum workshop for Health Care Workers on Basic Life Support (BLS) was held at Block Headquarter Ghat under the guidance of BMO and overall supervision of CMO, Dr Yaqoob Mir.

Chairman BDC Ghat, Sharifa Begum was the Chief Guest, who inaugurated the training session in presence of CMO, Dr M Y Mir and BMO Ghat Dr Saleem Ahmed.

Giving details of the programme, the BMO informed that this training session was specially designed for the healthcare workers of Medical Block Ghat. It was told that the trainees who are attending this BLS training would become master trainers and will train the people in their respective areas/jurisdictions which would surely help in saving the precious lives during any kind of emergency.

The Chief Medical Officer said that Basic Life Support is a level of pre-hospital care which is used for the victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they are given full medical care at a medical centre.

The Chairperson lauded the efforts of CMO Doda & BMO Ghat for taking this great initiative to train their staff for such an important purpose. “This training is a path breaking move as the health care workers act as first responders during all kind of emergencies. She asked the instructors to involve the trainees completely in the training programme so that they learn all the skills seriously and become the BLS experts.

Medical Officer Dr Shahzaib Nisar highlighted and briefed the participants about the importance of BLS, while Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi gave a practical demonstration.

The training session was attended by all Medical Officers from RBSK besides MLHPs working in HWCs Medical Block Ghat.

The training was organized on the directions of Director Health Services Jammu Dr Saleem ur Rehman.
