Health workers are saving lives by putting their lives at risk : CM Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Corona crisis in the state is unprecedented. Conditions are more serious than last year. The state government is constantly active towards arranging for treatment, spreading public awareness, but the real fight against Corona is being fought only by nurses, paramedical staff, anganwadi workers, ASHA workers. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the health sector personnel of all the districts of the state like nurses, paramedical staff, compounders, ward boys, pathology, radiology experts, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers from the Mantralaya. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that health workers are doing great work to save the lives of others by putting their lives at risk.

Health workers are working together on two fronts

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the month of April is critical from the point of view of Corona. Therefore, maximum patience, restraint and self-confidence are needed at this time. It is our priority to break the infection chain and prevent new infections from happening. The state government is leaving no stone unturned to raise resources and provide treatment on its behalf. Health workers are working simultaneously on both fronts- first testing, treatment of Corona patients in the hospitals and second vaccinating those above 45 years of age. In the Corona disaster, victory will be achieved with patience, restraint and mutual support.

Govt and private health sector face the challenge together

The number of hospitals and beds is being increased but it also has its own limits. Our effort should be that the infection is diagnosed early so that the patient’s condition is not serious and they do not have to go to the hospital. If the people’s condition improves in home isolation, then the burden on hospitals will automatically reduce. This is a time of disaster, so whether it is the government sector or the private sector, everyone will have to work together. Only the strength of both the public sector and the private sector can overcome this disease.

Humanitarian behaviour with patients

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the patient depends on medical advice, treatment and medicines. If he has come to the hospital, then surely it must be due to some serious matter. Therefore, it should be our endeavour to treat the patient with caring behaviour, he should get medicines and treatment at the right time not he may not have to wander from one hospital to the other. Patients may not have to wait for treatment for hours, treatment should be done according to the severity of the disease, only necessary medicines should be prescribed and unnecessary investigations should not be done.

Encourage patients

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the corona infected patients feel demoralized as their family members do not stay with them in the hospital. Therefore, it is our duty to do the counselling of the patients continuously and encourage them. You have done this positive work before and will carry out your duties with full patience and perseverance even further, I am sure. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the example of human service presented by the personnel related to health sector in the last one year is unimaginable. The people of the state will always remember this sacrifice and cooperation.
