Bangalore : In the run up to International Day of Yoga, HealthifyMe, India’s leading AI-led health and fitness app, has announced its new global campaign; a 3-day long ‘World Yoga Fest’ to raise awareness and promote the practice of Yoga for wellbeing across the globe. Starting on Saturday, June 19 at 5:30 AM IST, the World Yoga Fest, which is supported by The Ministry of Ayush, will feature 108 yoga sessions of 30 minutes each for 18 hours each day, with leading national and international yoga masters who will help the participants in improving their fitness, flexibility and mindfulness. The sessions will culminate at 11:30 PM IST on June 21, the International Day of Yoga.
Over 20,000 participants from across the globe are expected to participate in this virtual Yoga drive, making it the largest virtual Yoga gathering in the world. Renowned actors and fitness enthusiasts like Mandira Bedi and Daisy Shah, along with a powerful line up of coaches from 40 countries including China, Singapore, US, UK, Italy, Spain and Egypt will lead the classes for global participants. The World Yoga Fest will be open to people across the globe free of cost and they can participate in it via the HealthifyMe app or via HealthifyStudio.com or the company’s YouTube channel. The occasion also marks the one year anniversary of Healthify Studio, HealthifyMe’s live workout and yoga platform.
World Yoga Fest is an effort to instill the practice of Yoga for a healthier lifestyle among participants and raise awareness of its various lifestyle benefits. The event will include special CYP (Ministry of AYUSH advocated Common Yoga Protocol) sessions led by HealthifyMe’s team of Indian Yoga coaches in a bid to highlight and raise awareness about CYP and promote its global practice. HealthifyMe also recently launched VaccinateMe.in, a platform to support India’s vaccination drive by helping people find vaccination slots on CoWIN. The platform has been used by over 8 million people so far to find vaccination slots with 35% users reporting that they were able to book their slot successfully with the help of the platform. The company is in discussions to enable bookings of vaccination slots directly through the platform.
