Healthtech start-up Ayu Health Hospitals acquires SwasthyaSewak network of Hospitals in Jaipur

● The acquisition brings 16+ hospitals under the Ayu Health’s banner, phase 1 will see 6 hospitals go live, followed by 10 hospitals in phase 2 which will be completed within 1st quarter of CY22 ● Citizens to benefit from multi-disciplinary healthcare services with pricing transparency, an industry first step taken by any hospital chain

 

Bangalore  – Ayu Health Hospitals, a growing network of 40+ hospitals across India announces its maiden entry into Jaipur, via acquisition, adding a network of 16+ hospitals to its portfolio. The company has acquired Jaipur based SwasthyaSewak, to bring multi-disciplinary healthcare services to citizens with its unique and trust building feature of pricing transparency.

Ayu Health currently manages 2500+ beds across 50+ hospitals in Bengaluru and Chandigarh. The company which was established in 2019, co-founded by Karan Gupta, Arjit Gupta, and Himesh Joshi is fast growing its network to take quality healthcare to the masses through standardisation of healthcare services provided by neighbourhood hospitals. Buoyed by the growing demand for quality health care facilities in closer proximities, Ayu Health is expanding into underserved markets.

SwasthyaSewak, founded in 2017 by Yashu Kapoor, operates a network of 16+ hospitals in Jaipur. The startup has served over 1 lakh patients since inception. Their strong service-ethos and patient centric approach has made them a trusted partner for residents of Jaipur and Delhi NCR. Through this acquisition, Ayu Health will add 1000 beds to provide localised primary and tertiary medical care for citizens of Jaipur. This apart, the Founder of SwasthyaSewak, Yashu Kapoor has joined Ayu Health in the capacity of Head of Growth and will be based out of Delhi NCR.

At Ayu Health, patients are offered a standard pricing package for most treatments and procedures. Costs associated with the surgery, implant costs, price of stents and even hospital admission charges are shared with utmost transparency and even explained to the patients upfront by the medical counsellors and doctors. Additionally patients and doctors are given direct access to digitised health records and test results, so that they know and understand the process fully. Ayu Health also utilizes technology to facilitate insurance and other financial support to the patients.

Ayu Health has recently raised their Series-A funding of $6.3 million from Vertex Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners in September, 2021. With the addition of 5,000 plus beds in multiple locations across India, the organization is expected to grow the business by 10 times in FY2022.
