Heriot-Watt University: HWUM Holds Iftar Dinner with Members of the Media

The holy month of Ramadan is a very special time for Muslims worldwide.

Observers break fast each day with an evening meal, a tradition called “berbuka puasa” or “iftar”.

This year, we were blessed to be able to celebrate this special month with some members of the media at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur, in appreciation of their hard work, commitment and support of our University. A total of 24 media members from Malaysia’s mainstream media were present at the joyous event.

The event was a great reminder to all of the importance of building cooperative relationships based on trust and respect, in line with the spirit of ‘Muhibbah’. It also reminded us of the importance of bonding with others from different faiths with shared moral values as collectively we have the potential to become a strong force for positive change and development in the country.
