Higher Education in Iraq: Opportunities for Partnerships” conference in Baghdad, Iraq

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) with support from UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education for Arab States in Beirut and UNESCO Iraq Office held the “Higher Education in Iraq: Opportunities for Partnerships” conference in Baghdad, Iraq.

 

H.E. Dr. Nabil Kadhim, Minister for MoHESR and UNESCO Representative to UNESCO Iraq Mr. Paolo Fontani opened the conference in the presence of representatives from the MoHESR, UNHCR Representative to Iraq, Universities, and international and bilateral development partners, and experts in higher education that deliberated on the strategic directions and innovations in higher education in Iraq and opportunities for partnerships and international cooperation in higher education Iraq.

 

During the Conference, the MoHESR organized a ceremony to award the UNESCO Qualifications Passport (UQP) to Syrian refugee candidates who successfully established their Secondary school graduation.
