Hindi Bestseller list for first quarter of 2019 announced
New Delhi: Dainik Jagran announces Hindi Bestseller list on their official Facebook page ‘Hindi Hai hum. The list was announced by secretary of the Sahitya Sahitya Akademi Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao, Delhi University Prof. Dr. Kumud Sharma, author Kshama Sharma, and Executive Editor of Jagran Prakashan Ltd. Vishnu Tripathi. In the Dainik Jagran and Nielsen Bookscan Bestseller list, top 10 books are released in 4 categories of fiction, non-fiction, translation and poetry, this list offers the best-selling books between January 2019 to March 2019 quarter from the Hindi bestseller list.
In fiction young writers dominate the category. Among the best known names of the new generation of Hindi writers Nilotpal Mrinal’s ‘Aughad’ and ‘Dark Horse: Ek Ankahi Dastan’ have topped this category. Satya Vyas’s book ‘Benaras Talkies’, ‘Chaurasi’ and ‘Delhi Darbar’, writer Gaurav Solanki’s book ‘Gyarahvin A ke Ladke’, Divya Prakash Dubey’s ‘October Junction,’ writer Ajit Bharti’s ‘Ghar Waspsi’ and writer Naveen Chaudhary’s book on student politics ‘Janta Store’ have all managed to make it to the top 10.
In the category of Non-Fiction Ashok Kumar Pandey’s ‘Kashmirnama’ is at the top spot. Manav Kaul’s ‘Tumhare Baare Mein’ is at the second and actor Ashutosh Rana’s book ‘Maun Muskaan ki Maar’ is at the third spot. In this category author Ajit Bharti’s ‘Bakar Puran’, Surendra Mohan Pathak’s ‘Na Bairi Na Koi Begana’, and two books of Ajit Trivedi ‘Haar Nahi Manoonga: Ek Atal Jeevan Gatha’ and ‘Yada Yada hi Yogi’ are all in top 10.
In the translation category, writer Amit Tripathi’s ‘Sita Mithila Ki Yoddha’ is at the top, autobiography of former President APJ Abdul Kalam ‘Meri Jeevan Yatra’ is at the second and Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Revolution 2020’ is at the third place. Apart from these Vishwanath Ghosh’s ‘Chai Chai’, Anand Neelakantan’s ‘Asur parajiton ki gatha’, Former RBI governor Raghuram G Rajan’s book ‘I do What I do’ (Hindi Translation) and politician Shashi Tharoor’s ‘Main Hindu kyun hun’ are in top 10 spot.
In poetry category, the poetry collection of cinematic celebrities like Gulzar, Rahat Indore, Piyush Mishra dominates the list.
