Hindi Pakhwada valedictory ceremony at ICAR-RCER PATNA
The ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna celebrated the grand valedictory ceremony of Hindi Pakhwada – 2024 on Sep. 30, 2024. The event was graced by the august presence of Dr. Nazir Ahmed, Ex-Vice Chancellor, S.K.U.A.S.T., Kashmir as Chief Guest; Dr. T.K. Behera, Director, Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru as Special Guest and Dr. R.K. Yadav, Professor-cum-Pricncipal Scientist, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi as Special Guest. All of the dignitaries applauded the institute’s efforts to promote the Official Language and expressed their desire to continue it with the same zeal in the future also.
Dr. Shivani, Principal Scientist, moderated the programme and expressed her gratitude to all the dignitaries and staff present, followed by Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, Head, Division of Land and Water Management, who highlighted the importance of the Official Language and its Implementation Committee. Further, he briefed about the competitions and programmes organised during the Pakhwada i.e. from 14.09.2024 to 29.09.2024.
Dr. Anup Das, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna in his address emphasized the maximum use of Hindi in official work as our institute comes under ‘A’ region. As a result, it is our moral and constitutional responsibility to transact all of our official work entirely in Hindi, in order to meet the target set by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. All scientists should publicise agricultural technologies in Hindi to the maximum extent. The dignitaries and the Director Dr. Das encouraged the employees by awarding first, second, third, and consolation prizes based on their performances in several competitions held during the Pakhwada. “The work of the Press and Media Committee of the Institute is praiseworthy, through which the Institute is able to convey the information of various activities to the farmers and other stakeholders in Hindi”, added Dr. Das.
During the program, Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya with his inspirational Hindi poem, and Dr. Tanmay Kumar Koley, Senior Scientist and Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Scientist with their melodious Hindi songs won the hearts of all employees present in the auditorium.
Dr. Rajni Kumari, Dr. Jyoti Kumar, Dr. Kumari Shubha, Smt. Prabha Kumari, Hindi Translator Umesh Kumar Mishra and administrative and technical officers played a commendable role in the successful organization of Hindi Pakhwada – 2024. The program concluded with the national anthem.
