Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science signs MoU with France based ENAC

Chennai : Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has signed a MoU with France based school of Aviation – Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC). As part of this MoU HITS will offer Advanced Masters Programme in Aviation Safety Management in collaboration ENAC. Eligibility for Advanced Masters in Aviation Safety Management/MBA program is a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree with at least 3 years of professional experience in the Aviation Industry. This program is mainly designed for those who want to consider positions such as Safety Managers in Airline, Airport, and related professionals of the Aviation Industry.

The MOU was signed by Mr. Olivier Chansou – President, ENAC & Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chancellor, HITS in the presence of Mr. Ashok Verghese, Pro Chancellor, Mr. Nicolas Cazalis – Vice President of ENAC, Dr. S.N. Sridhara – Vice Chancellor HITS, Mr. Enid Verghese-Deputy Director, Dr. Aby Sam Executive Director HITS,  Capt. Dhruv Rebbapragada–Regional Safety Director -South Asia Airbus and  Dr. R. Asokan – Dean School of Aeronautical Sciences, HITS.

The curriculum of this programme is in-line with the strategic objectives set by the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan and Roadmap. The Advanced Master program in Aviation Safety Management aims at training Safety Managers and best suited for employed officials. It also helps to disseminate a thorough knowledge of the principles, strategic objectives, standards and recommended practices applying to Aviation Safety and develop the necessary skills for an effective implementation of aviation safety plans at various levels among all stakeholders of the aviation community. Experts from ENAC will be delivering lectures to the students and project mentoring/ internship will be in Airbus and related Aviation Industries.

This will contribute to diffusing a more widespread safety culture among the Next Generation Aviation Professionals (NGAP), helping to build capacity within the framework of the No Country Left behind (NCLB) program and in the end improving global Aviation Safety records. Upon completion of the programme graduates will have gained a broad knowledge of the current situation, challenges and perspectives of Aviation Safety worldwide. They will have acquired the necessary skills to implement an effective Safety Management System in their own organization as well as among other aviation operators, internationally.
