Hindustan Online – CODE offers scholarship programs to African students under GOI’s (e-VBAB) project
Chennai: Hindustan Online – CODE, the e-learning arm of the Hindustan Institute of Technology & Sciences, is offering e-Vidyabharti & e-Arogyabharati (EVBAB) scholarship programs for African students. Funded by MEA and GOI, the flagship e-VBAB project offers African students the opportunity to pursue online programs from various Indian universities where Hindustan Online – CODE is one of the university partners.
The e-VBAB project is a progressive step towards capacity building in education and medical science for all 54 African nations. It aims to continue providing education and healthcare services to African countries for the next five years and provide local employment opportunities for African students, doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.
Under e-VBAB, there are 300 programs, including electives in online programs such as MBA, BBA, M.Com, B.Com, MCA, BCA, BSc, Computer Science, Health Care, Arts & Humanity, etc. Remote learning under the e-VBAB project allows learners to access course materials and sit for exams from anywhere as part of the remote learning experience. Programs offer a focus on developing 21st century skills by providing learners with opportunities to collaborate with fellow foreign students during peer-to-peer sessions.
Ami Agarwal, Head, Centre for Open and Digital Education (CODE) said, “We take pride in being among the premier HEIs by implementing the e-VBAB project. Our foreign learners will gain an understanding of new age programs that are beneficial in the 21st century. The program is a great resource for eager students to access world-class education and knowledge, which makes them ready for their future professional endeavors.” The best part is that African students are able to access premier Indian education through the comforts of their homes. We are hopeful that this project will act as a medium for our foreign learners to collaborate with learners in India and work towards improving ties with countries.
