Hindustan Zinc Inducts Graduate Engineers to meet expansion in Mines
Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc is expanding all its mines to meet metal production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes from the current capacity of 1.0 million tonne. Recently the company has also entered into the solar energy with proposed installation of 115 MW of solar plants for captive use, out of which 15 MW has already been installed at Dariba Smelting Complex of the company.
To meet the growing requirement of manpower, for the first time Hindustan Zinc conducted one year induction program for the 65 Graduate Engineers Trainees (GETs) giving them rigorous training in every field of Hindustan Zinc operations. Taking forward 200 more GETs have joined Hindustan Zinc recently and they too would also undergo induction training program.
CEO of Hindustan Zinc, Sunil Duggal while addressing all GETs, before their roles were defined and they were posted in different locations, spoke about the company’s expansion programs and his vision to make Hindustan Zinc a world class technology driven company. He said “Hindustan Zinc is one of the best mining companies in India, but it aims to become the best Mining and Technology Company of the world and the young talent will make this dream come true. Through this rigorous training program we wish to create future leaders of our Organization.”
Our of 200 GETs from 47 prestigious colleges across the country, 10% are females.
