HIV Awareness campaign organised by Red Ribbon Club Of GDC,Sidhra
Red Ribbon Club of GDC,Sidhra under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Monika Sharma organized an online Intra-college activity on HIV AWARENESS CAMPAIGN under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on 13th of August, 2021, to commemorate 75th Independence day. A number of RRC Voulnteers participated in the activity. The participants were judged by Dr. Nalini Pathania, Associate Professor Department of English and Prof. Harpreet Kour Head Department of Pol.science of the college .
According to the center for Disease Control and Prevention, Young people aged 13-29 accounted for 39 percent of all new HIV Infection in 2009. HIV is a disease that does not discriminate,anyone can contract this disease,which is why it is important for students to be aware of how to protect themselves and prevent the transmission of HIV.
The result of the activity was declared on 13th of August, 2021 in which Irshad Akther B.A 2ND Sem was adjudged at first position and karsoom Akther B.A 2ND Sem, secured second position and third position goes to Shafeeq-ul-Rehman B.A 4TH sem, of the college. Principal,Dr.Monika Sharma congratulated the winners as well as the participants .The event was organized by Dr.Satbir Kour, Nodal Officer of RRC and Dr. Punam Rani, Head, Department of History of the college.
