Honouring good performers encourages them: Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel
Bhopal :Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel said that the government cannot do any work by itself, works are done with public cooperation. Those doing excellent work in various fields of social service must be honoured. This encourages people who do good. Smt. Patel was addressing the Eminence Award programme organized by Dainik Bhaskar at Sandipani Auditorium in Raj Bhavan today. She said that it is commendable to honour social workers during the difficult period of Covid-19. As many as 37 celebrities of Ujjain and Gwalior regions, who have been working in the fields of education, business, social work, real estate and health were honoured by the Governor with trophies and citation in the programme.
Governor Smt. Patel said that to serve the society, one does not need much sources and resources. People of rural and remote areas have realized such works that seemed like a dream, on their own with their dedication, constant effort and a sense of service. The resolve of a single woman helped save the jungle and got ten thousand new saplings planted. Similarly, a single person has also done the work of bringing a canal from the river flowing behind the mountain to the village. The need is of dedication and commitment. The government is also honouring Karmaveers for their outstanding work in the fields of environment, education, health, employment, development and women empowerment with the highest awards.
She said that in the adverse circumstances of Corona, many people displayed their sense of responsibility and continued to work and serve people in various fields without a word. She said that this initiative of Dainik Bhaskar is commendable. It is hoped that the honoured people will further continue to work.
Shri Rajesh Mali, Satellite head of Dainik Bhaskar, gave the welcome speech while Shri Harishankar Vyas, unit head of Dainik Bhaskar, Gwalior proposed the vote of thanks in the programme in which the Governor was the chief guest. The programme was conducted by Dr. Vinod Gupta.
