Hyderabad to host Green Building Congress 2019 – International Conference & Exhibition

Hyderabad: The 17th edition of CII- IGBC’s (Indian Green Building Council) flagship event – Green Building Congress 2019 (International Conference and Exhibition) scheduled on 25-28 September 2019 at HICC, Hyderabad is well poised to further consolidate India’s leadership position in the global green buildings map.
The annual Green Building Congress is a platform where national and international stakeholders converge to share, learn and explore new growth opportunities in the areas of green buildings and sustainability. Government of Telangana is the Partner State for Green Building Congress 2019.
Today, India, with over 7 billion sq.ft, is one of the top 5 Countries in the world in terms of largest registered green building footprint, with over 5,400 projects adopting CII- IGBC green building rating systems.
CII- IGBC aspires to facilitate greening of various forms of built environment. Green Building Congress 2019 would focus on the theme-‘Green Built Environment for People & the Planet’.
The event would focus on topics including- green homes; green schools; health& well-being; net zero buildings; green & smart cities; green affordable housing; commercial buildings; construction technologies; green products & technologies; green hotels; sustainable mobility; green transit.
Coinciding with Green Building Congress 2019 is the international exhibition of green building products and technologies, where some of the new, innovative and futuristic green building products, materials & technologies would be on display.
