ICAI Holds Two-Day National Conference
Bhubaneswar: The Eastern India Regional Council Bhubaneswar Chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a two-day national conference of Chartered Accountants on November 26-27, 2021. On the inaugural day, Development Commissioner Pradip Kumar Jena attended as the chief guest and Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited Director (Finance) KR Vasudevan graced the event as guest of honour. ICAI President CA Nihar N Jambusaria and Bhubaneswar Chapter Past Chairman CA Rajib Sekhar Sahoo spoke on the occasion in presence of CA Bisworanjan Sutar, Chairman. In a session titled “Creative Accounting: Genesis”, CA Prashant Panda presided the meeting while former MD of Syndicate Bank Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra attended as chief speaker. Similarly, in the session titled “CARO-2020 and reforms in Company Law”, CA Sarat Chandra Bhadra presided over the meeting.
ICAI Central Council member Bijay Kumar also spoke on the occasion. GST and Central Excise Principal Commissioner Bijay Kumar Kar presided the session on GST on presence of CA A Jatin Christofer from Bangalore as speaker . The programme was organized under the guidance of CA Bisworanjan Sutar, Chairman, Bhubaneswar Branch CA Gourahari Nayak, chairman, conference organigsing committee, CA Bisworanjan Sutar, Chairman, Bhubaneswar branch and CA Janhabi Deo, Secretary, Bhubaneswar Branch. The programme was attended by 500 physical and more than 1000 virtual participants from across the country.
