ICAR- Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna to host “One Day International Scientific Interaction Meeting”

ICAR- Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna will host ‘One Day International Scientific Interaction Meeting’ on “Direct seeded Rice (DSR)” on September 24, 2024. Three delegates from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), USA, and seven from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines will attend this event. Under the IRRI BMGF programme, Institute has developed many multiple stress tolerant rice varieties using genetic materials shared by IRRI. The main objective of this meeting is to review the scientific research being conducted by the Institute for promoting DSR practice and the ongoing collaborative projects of ICAR-IRRI, and to work towards developing improved varieties of Rice through mutual participation. This program will be organized under the keen guidance of Dr. Anup Das, Director of the Institute.
