ICBC conducts E-Masterclass in India with the aim to guide Students to pick the right Higher Education courses in Canada

New Delhi: Leading educational institutes from Canada participated in the first session of the ICBC E-Masterclass focussed on Engineering and IT study programs in the North American country. The Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) with the support of the Trade Commissioner Service at the High Commission of Canada in India, is organising two such virtual E-Masterclass sessions in the month, aimed at guiding Indian students in identifying the right courses for themselves while choosing Canada as their destination for Higher Education.

According to official estimates, well in excess of 150,000 Indian students were issued Canadian study permits last year, making it one of their most popular destinations for Higher Education in the world.

The first E-Masterclass highlighted the high-quality academic programs (Post Graduate Diplomas, Certificates, Degrees, etc) offered by Canadian academic institutions. Canadian universities and colleges with a proven track record of delivering quality education to international students used the session to highlight their programs, scholarships, student experience, accessibility, affordability, and career paths. The audience mainly consisted of potential graduates/working professionals who are an appropriate fit for these programs and most importantly be potential candidates for meeting Canadian labour and skill demands.

The session was attended by the following colleges – Centennial College, Durham College, George Brown College, Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT), University of Calgary and University of Windsor

Speaking before the break-out sessions, Ms. Nadira Hamid, CEO, ICBC, said, “This series is especially important to us as skill development, micro credentials, and program enhancement, have become very important elements in today’s times. The demand for qualified professionals in the Canadian market is growing and this is the right opportunity for all assembled members here today and all our friends who are part of the audience to consider the programs offered by the institutions present here tonight, as a stepping stone and career progression tool.”

The next session is on Nursing & Allied Health on 18th February 2022, scheduled from 6 pm -10 pm IST to ensure maximum participation. Interested participants can register in the following link to join the next session – https://bit.ly/3r8shIH
