ICC Malappuram Centre conducted seminar

Aligarh: The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) of AMU Malappuram Centre has conducted a seminar on ‘ Women Protection Laws and Its Importance’.

The chief guest Prof TP Rajalekshmi, the Principal of BHAVANS PALSAR Calicut inaugurated the ICC and delivered a lecture on the seminar topic. Director in Charge Dr Shahnawaz Ahmad Malik presided over the programme.

The Chairperson of the Internal Complaint Committee Dr Naseema PK explained the structure and working of ICC and vision behind the establishment of ICC to the students and staff. The logo of the ICC was also released on the occasion.

To sensitize the audience, a short film “BhedBhav” on gender inequality was also screened.

The participants of the seminar took pledge against any kind of discrimination based on gender and it was read out to the audience by Dr Mohammed Basheer K, Co-ordinator, Department of Education.

Additional Gender Champions; Sana Naaz , Abdul Haseeb and Ziya Fathima jointly delivered vote of thanks. The proceedings were conducted by Asjad Alam (Law 4th Year) and Tooba Khan (Law 2nd Year).
