ICDS Project hosts BBBP awareness program at Rehmbal

Rehmbal: A day long awareness programme under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and Poshan Abhiyan was organized by project Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Udhampur, here at Panchayat Ghar Lower Rehmbal.

BDC Chairman, Udhampur Balwan Singh was the chief guest, while DDC member, Puran Chand, was the guest of honour on the occasion.

An impressive function was organized in which a theme based skit was presented by AWWs and girls of local school on the theme BBBP. During the function an informative Nukkad Natak was presented by eminent local company Ram Kala Kendra, Garhi. The main attraction of the programme was the Kashmiri song presented by migrant AWWs. Ram Ditta and Party also perform the song and dance on the occasion.

The chief guest distributed Mamta Kits among the new born babies on the occasion.

Later, a pledge for eliminating the menace of female foeticide was also administered to the participants and general public on the occasion.

Among others, PRIS and staff of ICDS, AWWs and Supervisors were present in the occasion.

PO ICDS, Attar Chand, Yash Paul CDPO, Udhampur also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of BBBP Scheme.
