ICPS organises awareness program on Child rights at Rajouri

RAJOURI : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas kundal and under the close supervision of District Child Protection Officer Rajouri, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat, the department of Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS) organised an awareness programme here at Child Protection Unit Rajouri.

The program was organised to create awareness among students, NGOs and social workers about Child Rights and use of 1098-helpline besides discussing the role of District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board.

Advocate Shivanghi Kant( Legal probation officer) and Nasreen Bhat(social worker) spoke on the Child Rights and Child abuse.

An interactive session with students, teachers and speakers from the ICPS department was also held. The Principal Army Goodwill School Rajouri M. Krishna Chandra appreciated the ICPS and he requested the team to organize more such programmes in the school.

Others who were present including Members child welfare committee Shivani Gupta,Anuradha sharma, Vice Principal AGPS Vishal Sharma, Rubina Kouser (PONIC) Rahila tabrez(Outreach worker) Nipun Mahotra and Aadil majeed lone (counsellor)District child protection unit Rajouri.
