IGNCA to Celebrate Fifth Nadi Utsav from 19th September
Indian civilisation since time immemorial has revered rivers as sacred, viewing them not merely as natural features but as fundamental elements woven into the very fabric of our cultural heritage. Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), an institution dedicated to art and culture, has been organising the ‘Nadi Utsav’ on a grand scale for the last few years. This noble initiative was conceived by Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi to create awareness and sensitize people about their ecology and environment. ‘Nadi Utsav’ began in 2018 and has been celebrated annually at various significant locations. The event highlights the cultural and ecological importance of rivers, fostering a deep connection between local traditions and the environment.
In continuation of this remarkable series, the fifth ‘Nadi Utsav’ is being organized by Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, scheduled from September 19th to September 21th, 2024. This year’s ‘Nadi Utsav’ will be hosted at IGNCA, New Delhi.
To provide detailed information about this significant event, we are hosting a press conference on 18th September, 2024 at 4 Pm in the Umang Conference Room (fourth floor) of IGNCA. The press conference will be addressed by Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary IGNCA, Shri Anurag Punetha, Controller, Media Centre and Shri Abhay Mishra, Convenor, Nadi Utsav.
Your esteemed presence would be greatly appreciated as we come together to celebrate and promote our rich cultural heritage and the significance of our rivers.
