IIHMR University to Co-Host International Conferenceon Global Health and Medical Tourism (GloHMT) with IIM Kozhikode

 

Jaipur: Bringing medical practitioners and experts from the field of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and allied industries, the IIHMR University Jaipur is all set to co-host a two-day international conference on‘Global Health and Medical Tourism(GIoHMT)’, with IIM Kozhikode. The conference will delve upon various aspects of medical tourism by giving a clear landscape of technologies, policies, global healthcare perspectives, healthcare models and best practices in medical tourism with the help of panel discussions and paper presentations through March 7to 13, 2019.

The inaugural ceremony at the IIHMR University will be held onMarch 12, 2019, with guests of honor Dr. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode, Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan, Gurudev Amrit Desai, Founder, Amrit Yoga Institute and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Dr. SD Gupta, Chairman, the IIHMR University, and Dr. Pankaj Gupta, President, the IIHMR University addressing conference participants.

The inaugural ceremony will also include the launch of the IIHMR University’s much cherished Center for Mindfulness, Ethics and Wellness by Dr. Debashis Chatterjee and Shri Rohit Kumar Singh. The Center will be responsible for conducting workshops and sessions for stress relief and creating a healthy work environment.

Panel sessions will be conducted on March 12, 2019 on several topics ranging from “Global Health Scenario and Medical Tourism Issues in India”, and “Mindfulness and Spiritual Healing: New Avenues for Medical Tourism in India”, to “Universal Health Coverage: A New Era in Healthcare in India” and “Digital Health- The Way Forward” with several distinguished personalities such as Dr. Vimal Sharma, Professor, University of Chester, UK,Shri Samit Sharma, IAS, Mission Director, National Health Mission & Special Secretary, Government of Rajasthan,Dr. Prithvi, IAS, Secretary (Finance), Rajasthan, Shri Bhupendra Singh, IPS, DGP Jail, Rajasthan, Dr. Sandeep Dash, Director HR, SAIL, and many more.

On March 13, 2019, the IIHMR University will be seen partnering with Heartfulness Institute, India Division, for its Heartfulness CME/CEprogram. The program will involve eminent Heartfulness trainers and speakers addressing the audience on topics such as “Creating a Culture of Wellness”, Nurturing a Value-Based Practice”, “Empathy in Healthcare”, and “Resiliency and Stress Management”.The CME workshop also ensures that participating physicians, nurses and psychologists receive CME credits from Heartfulness Institute in collaboration with Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower.

The two-day long conference is an attempt to spot the light on imperatives of artificial intelligence, accreditation, capacity and leadership development, global healthcare economics, innovations in global health care, management and policy perspectives medical tourism, waste management issues, Pharmacovigilance& legal issues, skill development and soft skills, project management, socio-cultural issues and other state-of-the-art related issues.
