IIIT-Delhi and IIT Delhi to host COMPASS 2024, navigating sustainable future through research and innovations
New Delhi – The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi), and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), two of the country’s leading educational institutions renowned for their excellence in research and innovation, are set to host ‘COMPASS 2024,’ an esteemed international event conceptualised by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). This assemblage will take place from 8th to 11th July 2024 at IIIT-Delhi, showcasing groundbreaking research aimed at fostering sustainable societies worldwide.
COMPASS 2024 is a leading venue for presenting and publishing original research across diverse disciplines, including computer and information sciences, social sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering. The forum is deeply inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, encouraging contributions that address global sustainability challenges through innovative technological and scientific advancements.
The ACM, a US-based international learned society for computing, is a non-profit professional membership group dedicated to advancing computing as both a science and a profession. Every year, it organises COMPASS. The last edition took place in Cape Town, South Africa.
The four-day event promises an enriching line-up of activities, featuring interactive keynote sessions, paper presentations, panel discussions, short video screenings, and specialised presentations on critical areas such as education, sustainability, agriculture, finance, and labour.
