Inspiring the Next Generation: IIIT-Delhi Student Volunteers

Playing a vital role in the success of the Summer Camp our dedicated student volunteers from IIIT-Delhi. These enthusiastic young adults bring their knowledge and passion for various subjects to the camp. They act as mentors and facilitators, guiding the participants through workshops, activities, and interactive sessions. Their own experiences and learnings allow them to connect with the school students on a relatable level, fostering a positive learning environment.

Through a range of engaging activities, workshops, and sessions, Summer Camp IIITD seeks to instil a love for learning in young minds. From the stage lights of theatre to the thrill of scientific discovery, our diverse program offers something for every interest.

Participants can get hands-on with arts and crafts, learn new athletic skills, or dive into exciting subjects like Abacus to AI and AstroGeo. Our Experimental Sciences module lets school students experience what it’s like to be real scientists with interactive experiments. And with sessions on astronomy and geography, we bring the wonders of the universe and our planet to life right before their eyes.

But it’s not all about fun and games. We’re also focused on developing essential skills for the future. Through interactive activities, students will sharpen their critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork abilities, setting them up for success in whatever they pursue.

“Years from now, you’ll be successful. When someone asks what sparked your love of learning, you might be surprised to say ‘IIIT-Delhi Summer Camp 2024!’ Unlike some classrooms, IIIT-Delhi’s ‘Teach Like a Friend’ and ‘Summer Camp’ motto creates a supportive space where your curiosity thrives. Here, Volunteers become your guides, helping you reach your full potential. Do not hesitate to ask questions, and use this opportunity wisely” – Mr Anand Kumar, Founder of Super 30.

“At IIIT-Delhi, we are committed to nurturing young minds and cultivating a passion for learning. Our Summer Camp offers students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills, and acquire valuable experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting.” – Prof. Ranjan Bose, IIIT-Delhi.

“This summer camp is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn and grow in a fun and stimulating environment. We are grateful to IIIT-Delhi for providing this enriching program.” – Suman Ratra, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Tughlakabad.

Empowering Girls in STEM: The TLF Camp

A key addition to the program this year is the exciting TLF Camp for girls of grades 9th to 12th. The TLF Camp provides a unique environment focused on academic support, mentorship, and personal development – all aimed at empowering girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields. Working hand-in-hand with IIIT-Delhi’s academic department and the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), the TLF Camp creates an immersive learning experience specifically for girls.

Through interactive sessions and workshops led by dedicated girl volunteers, students will receive guidance in subjects like General Knowledge, English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Mental Ability Test (MAT). Students will have the opportunity to delve into fields like Computer Science, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC), along with engaging in fun zone and club-related activities. Inspirational talks, guest speakers, and workshops will help participants build networks and develop essential skills for academic and professional success.

At IIIT-Delhi, we are deeply committed to providing an enriching and impactful learning experience that fosters a passion for innovation and excellence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our student volunteers, whose dedication and enthusiasm are essential to the success of the camp.
