IIM Ahmedabad honours Mr. Kuldeep Jain, Founder of CleanMax Solar with Young Alumni Achiever’s Award 2017-18
Ahmedabad: Mr. Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director, CleanMax Solar was awarded the IIM Ahmedabad Young Alumni Achiever’s Award 2017-18 in the Entrepreneurship Category. The award was received from Prof. Errol D’Souza – Director and Prof. Rakesh Basant – Dean, Alumni and External Relations at the college campus. CleanMax Solar, India’s most trusted sustainability partner for the corporate segment was founded by Mr. Kuldeep Jain in the year 2011 after his 12 years’ successful journey as a Partner at McKinsey in Energy and Corporate Finance practice.
In a span of seven years, CleanMax Solar has grown to be the no.1 player in the rooftop solar segment for the industrial and commercial sector. With a current market share of 25% (According to Bridge to India 2017 report) and revenue of INR 1200 crores, CleanMax is poised to grow at an exponential rate in the coming years. The company has powered over 250 commercial and industrial projects across India with an operating rooftop capacity of more than 100 MW and set up solar farms with a capacity in excess of 300 MW in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to supply solar power to its corporate customers. All this has been achieved under the able leadership of Mr. Kuldeep Jain, who at an early age has made a mark in the renewable industry, establishing a profitable company which is also helping the sustainability goal of the Indian Government. IIM Ahmedabad has played a critical role in shaping Mr. KuldeepJain as a professional and adept entrepreneur.

I would like to thank the faculty and the management for recognizing my achievements and hope to make the institute proud of my future endeavours.”
This is the 4th edition of IIM Ahmedabad’s Young Alumni Acheiver’s Award and the other awardees include prominent personalities like Chetan Bhagat, Renowned Author, Ashwini Monga. Anuradha Chugh, Managing Director, Ben & Jerry’s, Prakash Jhanwer, Regional Head of South East Asia and China region, Olam International, Utsav Baijal, Apollo Management, Manish Gupta, Founder and CEO, Indegene and Ashwani Monga, Professor of Marketing at Rutgers Business School, Newark and New Brunswick.
