IIM Amritsar to Host Aarunya 6.0
Amritsar: IIM Amritsar will be hosting the newest season of AArunya, the Annual Management, Cultural, and Sports fest, on the 12th and 13th of February 2022. Having set an enviable legacy of always coming up with unique themes, the theme chosen for this year is ‘Navarasa’, reflecting the nine human expressions. There will be a plethora of events with an eclectic mix from various management domains, cultural, and sports areas. This year’s AArunya will be held virtually; however, without taking away the fun and intense competition that AArunya has to offer.
The events organized in AArunya provides a huge opportunity for students to gain immense knowledge and compete with uber-talented students from various institutes.
Aarunya 6.0 will be inaugurated on the 12th of February in VC mode by Ms.Richa Singh, the celebrated social entrepreneur. The concluding ceremony will be conducted on the 13th of February, and will be blessed with the presence of Ms.Medha Patkar, one of the most influential and prominent social activists in the nation. These two days will witness cultural performances from the music maestro Mohit Chauhan, famous stand-up comics Vipul Goyal and Harsh Gujral, and the rock-band, Apricot.
IIM Amritsar has been blessed to have Canara Bank and the Standard Chartered Bank as the co-sponsors for the event. The various partners for the event include Decoralley, Safexpress, CoinSwitch Kuber, Skilled Sapiens, Helping Hand International, 360DigiTMG, Innodatatics, Interview Buddy, Peddlers Amritsar, Atticus Advisors, Dzor, elearnmarkets, and MBAtrek.
The previous edition saw the likes of Spunk, Nakash Aziz, and Sunburn mesmerize students with their incredible performances. Abhishekh Upamanyu’s astounding stand-up performance and rib-tickling stories especially had gained a lot of positive responses from everyone alike. AArunya hosted varied events from Elocution, Case Competition, Simulations, Valuations to War of Word and many such events in its last edition. Carrying forward the legacy, some exhilarating events have been planned and executed for AArunya 6.0, including, but not limited to, Footloose, Rap Battle, Chess, Markstrat, Face the Heat, Insight out, Persona, Ops-simulation, Elucidate – case competition, nishabdh 2.0, The Big Idea, etc. There are some new events too in the offing with IIM Amritsar seeing the inception of the Invictus cell (Just-In-Case, the case study competition) and the Laughter cell this year.
With some new and fun events on the block, the new version is set to outdo the previous ones, with more than 30 events planned, and some successfully concluded. It is for certain that the fest will out-scale the previous versions by some stretch.
