IIM Amritsar to host the 7th edition of Pariprekshya: The Finance and Marketing conclave on 4th November 2023

 

IIM Amritsar is ramping up to host its 7th annual finance and marketing conclave – Pariprekshya, on 4 November 2023. Pariprekshya, like its name, aims to bring together accomplished industry experts to raise new perspectives on current trends and happenings in the finance and marketing industries.

The conclave will have two sessions; the finance panel will begin at 10 a.m. on the theme “Digital Transformation in Finance: Exploring the Intersection of Finance and Technology.” It aims to explore the fundamental ways technology shapes today’s financial landscape. The keynote speaker for the finance panel will be the esteemed Mr Rajneesh Jain, Chief Financial Officer, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. He is a distinguished finance veteran with over 36 years of professional experience in the industry. As President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited he has played a pivotal role in leading commercial functions and driving the digital revolution in India. The panel also comprises Mr Sanjiv Bhasin, Director, IIFL Securities Ltd; Mr Gobind Jain, Chief Financial Officer, IndusInd Bank; Mr Krishna Rao, Managing Director, JM Financial; CA Chetan Borkar, Chief Financial Officer, Madison World. These industry stalwarts will share their understanding of the intricate relationship between finance and technology and how managers and finance professionals can stay ahead of the curve.

The marketing panel will be conducted at 2 p.m. and will discuss the following theme: “Demystifying the Digital Maze: From Media Attribution to Customer Journey.” It will shed light on the modern dynamics of marketing and the significance of digital marketing in today’s business strategy. The keynote speaker for this session will be the illustrious Dr Jai Shankar Kumar, Vice President – (Sales & Marketing), MP Birla Cement. Dr Kumar is a seasoned marketing expert, his professional journey has been marked by significant contributions to some of India’s most prestigious organizations. His noteworthy roles include that of a Sales and Marketing Professional at ACC Ltd. (Holcim). Beyond his corporate roles, Dr Kumar has proven to be a valuable member of the Board of Consultations for several well-respected organizations, including CRISIL, Infollion Research, Insight Alpha, Advantus Global, B & K Securities, RAIN Group, HDFC Securities, Motilal Oswal, Lynk – Hongkong, and Third Bridge India. His extensive professional background and impressive educational qualifications solidify his reputation as an esteemed and accomplished figure in the realm of sales and marketing. He will be joined by Mr Manu Kumar, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communication of Hero Electric; Ms Sumeet Singh, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Info Edge India Ltd; Mr Harkawal Singh, Head Marketing Services & Excellence, Dabur India; Mr Nilendu Mitra, Vice President of Marketing & Strategy, Ajmal Perfumes India; Ms Samyukta Ganesh Iyer, VP & Head of Marketing, Kaya Limited. These marketing mavericks will discuss the relevance of digital marketing in the Gen Z era, how evolving consumer expectations shape marketing, and what touchpoints influence the customer journey.
