IIM Bangalore invites the public on campus to experience Yamini, on January 25 & 26th
The free Flagship classical music and dance concert to be staged at IIMB
The SPIC MACAY IIM Bangalore chapter is excited to announce that Yamini, its flagship classical music and dance concert, will be held from the evening of January 25 till the morning of January 26 at the Open-Air Theatre (OAT) at IIM Bangalore. Yamini, now in its 19th edition, will return to an offline mode this year.
A scintillating symphony of events featuring the finest virtuosos of Indian classical music and arts will be on view.
“Please carry your photo identity proof and mask, and please avoid bringing your vehicles as parking could be a challenge”, says Nikhil Sonawane, Secretary, IIMB Chapter of SPICMACAY.
Among the feast on offer will be a musical journey through the mesmerizing rhythms of kathak, the soulful melodies of Carnatic vocals, the captivating strains of Hindustani instrumental (Indian cello), the ethereal beauty of Carnatic percussion (Ghatam), the masterful virtuosity of Carnatic instrumental (flute) and the soul-stirring vocals of Hindustani vocals.
The artistes who will perform include Pt. Rajendra Gangani (kathak), Vid. Neyveli Santhanagopalan (Carnatic vocals), Vid. Vikku Vinayakram (ghatam), Smt. Saskia Rao De Haas (cello), Vid. Mysore A Chandan Kumar (flute) and Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar (Hindustani vocals).
