IIM Bodh Gaya delivers a Management Development Program in collab with IOCL

IIM Bodh Gaya proudly delivered a transformative Management Development program in collaboration with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, titled “ Awakening Reflective Leadership with Mindfulness at IIM Bodh Gaya” from 28th to 30th November 2023. Mindfulness being the core value of the institution, it was a privilege for the institute to throw light on this dimension to 17 bright government employees, including middle and senior-level managers from IOCL.

Dr. Vinita S Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, stated that this collaboration with IOCL reflects our commitment to nurturing mindful leadership in the corporate world. Following this, she said that we are thrilled with the positive feedback and look forward to further enriching partnerships. This reiterated the institution’s commitment to outreach to external stakeholders to contribute in every possible way to shape a better future for the nation.

Dr. V.R. Menon, Head (Learning & Development), Marketing Division, IOCL, was joined by Mr. Brajesh Jha, Senior Manager (L&D), Marketing Division, IOCL, along with the participants, expressed their appreciation and the importance of the workshop. They acknowledged the opportunity it provided to reflect and delve deeper into themselves, emphasizing the importance of incorporating mindfulness in key leadership functions.

The program was jointly coordinated by Prof. Nidhi Mishra, Prof. Remya Lathabavan, and the Chairperson of Executive Education – Prof. Amit Srivastava. The core focus was aligned with IIM Bodh Gaya’s vision to develop Mindful Business Leaders. The MDP delved into key topics such as Stress Management, Dealing with Unpleasant Emotions, Mindful Decision Making, Balancing Time and Priorities, etc.

This initiative aligns with the institution’s ongoing mission to foster holistic and mindful business practices and is just one example of many such initiatives that are lined up for the future
