IIM Bodh Gaya is hosting Virtual Orientation for new Batches
Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya is organizing the Orientation Program for its upcoming batches on 21st – 22nd July 2020. This year, the institute is set to welcome the sixth batch for its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management for the 2020-22 session. At the same time, IIM Bodh Gaya is also welcoming its maiden batch in the new PhD Programme for the 2020-24 sessions. 180 PGP students and 5 PhD students are going to become a part of the college this time around. The entire orientation program will be conducted through video conferencing.
The two-day orientation program is aimed at introducing the students to the institute, its heritage and its culture. The program will also create new perspectives among the students and broaden their horizons regarding the nitty-gritty of the corporate world they will soon be a part of. As such, several highly distinguished individuals have been invited to the event to share their enlightening experiences in their fields with the new students.
The esteemed guests are reputed members of the corporate world and include business leaders, authors, motivational speakers and educators. The chief guest of the first day of the event is Shri Ashish Kr. Chauhan, MD & CEO, Bombay Stock Exchange. The guests of honour are Ms Falguni Nayar, Founder and CEO, Nykaa.com, and Damodar Mall, CEO, Reliance (Retail). Both of them are also members of the Board of Governors of IIM Bodh Gaya. Other distinguished guests are D.V. Shastry, Executive Director, GAIL (India) and Mr Anil Bhasin, President, Havells India Ltd. The first day will also feature a panel discussion which will be moderated by the director of the institute, Dr Vinita Sahay. The events of the first day will discuss in details various aspects of the corporate world and how the upcoming business leaders can develop themselves to become an integral part of this world.
The second day will shift its focus more towards the personal development and wellbeing of the students. The speakers for the day include Mr Shiv Khera, Eminent Author and Motivational Speaker, Swami Sarvapriyanandan, Motivational Speaker, Vedanta Society, and Mr Sean Fargo, Founder, Mindfulness Exercises. There will also be a panel discussion under the moderation of Dr Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Assistant Professor, IIM Bodh Gaya. Pankaj Kumar, Head, Training Capability Development and Human Resource Management, Tata Steel and Aditya Pal Singh, Head, Talent Acquisition India, Informatica.
