IIM Bodhgaya Library Facilitates Online Learning with all E-resources
Bodhgaya: IIM Bodhgaya’s Library, known as the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), plays an essential role in the academic and research activities of the Institute. The LRC is fully automated and well equipped with a varied collection of books, journals, magazines, e-Journals, e-Books and databases from globally known publishers in both print and electronic format. LRC provides access to over 1,50,000 e-Books, 15,000+ e-Journals and 5000+ e-magazines and e-newspapers.
The new normal is accepting the virtual world during this pandemic, and the LRC copes with the new normal situation. The LRC continued the remote access service so that the students can access all e-resources of the library from their homes. The library has subscribed to various databases such as ABI/Inform Complete, CMIE-Prowess IQ, EPWRF India Time Series, EIKON Database, EBSCO Business Source Ultimate, Grammarly, and Turnitin Feedback Studio. The library has access to many e-Journals of Emerald Insights, JSTOR, Elsevier Science Direct, Taylor & Francis, ProQuest e-book Central Academic Complete.
The preparatory sessions were organised at LRC on 26th July 2021 and 27th July 2021 to facilitate different e-resources for the new batch of PGP and Ph.D. students. At the beginning of the event on 26th July 2021, the Chairperson of Library, Dr. Tamali Chakraborty, welcomes all students. The sessions started with the presentation of Dr. P. M. Gupta, the librarian of IIM Bodhgaya, on Online Learning through a Single Window: Access to Digital Resources. Later, the sessions were conducted on Improving academic writing and research output with Grammarly by Mr. Ratish Iyer. Mr. Syed Hasan Jafar took a session on How to Use CMIE Prowess IQ Database. There was a presentation on How to Maximize the Benefits of ProQuest Resources (eBooks & e-Journals) for Academic Work by Mr. Sanjay Rajan.
On 27th July 2021, the sessions on Refinitive EIKON Database were conducted by Ms. Reshmi Bhattacherya. Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra presented on Business Source Ultimate: The most Trusted database for business research (EBSCO). The session ended with Mr. Bipin K. Deokar on An Online database on the Indian economy developed by EPW Research Foundation (EPWRF).
